Sahlene grew up in the small Swedish town of Soderhamn, two hours north of Stockholm. As a child she starred as the main character in Oscar nominated director Lasse Hallstroms (My Life As A Dog, What's Eating Gilbert Grape) "The Children Of Bullerbyn". Her musical dream started to develop when moving to Stockholm in the mid 90's. Initially as a back-up singer and later on leading her first band; The Rhythm Avenue. Leaving the band in '98, she toured with several of Sweden's most popular acts until signing her first solo deal with Roadrunner Arcade Music, Sweden. And now Sahlene's ready to introduce you to the coolest rock album of the new century called The Little Voice.

The first single, and title track, The Little Voice, will stand as the kick off for this unique talent. The song is a perfect blender of programmed beats and loud guitars, all tied together with this year's coolest and stickiest chorus. All of the eleven recorded tracks are short stories from a young woman's life, spiced with the very strong female attitude of Sahlene. It's even more so on the more mellow and acoustic tracks such as Fishies and I Wonder. And still, you hear the unique and playful sound that was created at Lifeline studios in Stockholm, spring 2000. Most of the tracks are written by Berger/Dioguardi/Sahlene except for certain contributions by Billy Mann (Celine Dion, Boyzone etc) and Eric Bazilian (Joan Osbourne's "One Of Us", Ricky Martin and Meja's "Private Emotion"). Swedish R'n'b superstar Robyn also joined forces with the Berger/Dioguardi/Sahlene trio, giving them a helping hand as a writer and contributor on "Grown Up Song". Mr Bernard Lohr at Mono Studios in Stockholm, this industrys most influential mixing engineer for the last five years, put his final touch to the album. Other Bernard Lцhr projects worth mentioning are Backstreet Boys, Aqua, Westlife and Britney Spears. The Grammy awarded videodirector Markus Johnsson took Sahlene to the musicchannels as a Laura Croft look a like, lost in The Fifth Element.

Single#1 received great attention by both radio and MTV, and found itҐs way up in the Swedish singles charts. The credible A&R publication "The Tip Sheet" in the UK, picked up The Little Voice as Discovery of the week in Issue #382. Also worth mention, Sahlene where in January this year, voted second sexiest woman in Sweden. So you can easy say; Sahlene joins the two big things Sweden is known for these days in one person; Great music and Beautiful women.

Большинство треков написаны коллективом Бергер\Диогуарди\Салин, но вклад в создание альбома внесли также Билли Манн (Селин Дион, Бойзон) и Эрик Базилиан (Оззи Осборн, Рики Мартин). Также в записи принял участие шведская звезда ритм-н-блюза Робин. Завершает коллектив авторов  Бернард Лор(Моно студия) Стокгольм, самый  успешный звукорежиссер  последних  пяти лет. Среди   егго других проектов -Бэкстрит Бойз, Аква, Вестлайф и Бритни Спирс.  Видеоработы над альбомом делал обладатель премии Грэмми Маркус Йонссон.

Сингл был широко раскручен как на радио, так и на MTV, и попал в шведские чарты. Английская компания A&R выбрала его открытием недели. Также стоит заметить, что Салин попала в шестерку самых сексуальных женщин в Швеции. Таким образом, Салин объединила в себе две вещи, которыми известна Швеция - великолепную музыку и красивую женщину.
