From 360 entries, an
internal jury at VRT Belgium has chosen 28 songs to compete in the 2004 Eurosong contest. The four semi final shows will be aired on four consecutive Sundays from January 18th. In each show seven songs will take part and from each show the overall winner will immediately earn a place in the final. Besides the four heat winners, the three overall best scoring songs will get a place in the final. In each heat there will be five juries - a jury of specialists, two juries of local radio channels (Radio2 and Radio Donna), a european jury and the public vote - the public will give double points. Из 360 поданных заявок бельгийское жюри выбрало 28 полуфиналистов. Четыре полуфинальных шоу будут показаны по воскресеньям начиная с 18 января. В каждом шоу участие примут 7 песен и победитель напрямую пройдет в финал. Кроме 4х песен-победителей в финал пройдут еще 3 песни с наилучшим результатом. В каждом раунде будет 5 жюри - специалистов, двух радио каналов, европейское жюри, и жюри телезрителей, чей голос будет учитываться в двойном размере. |

| Ксанди -
это псевдоним 25 летней певицы Сэнди Бутс. Музыка всегда играла большую роль в жизни этой девушки. В возрасте 16 лет она сформировала дуэт Touch of Joy с Серхио (Сержем Кисквотером). У Тач оф Джой была длительная и весьма успешная карьера. Дуэт выпустил ряд хитов, таких как “Don’t Give it up,” “Please Don’t Go” и “Enjoy.” В 2005 году будет отмечаться десятиление дуэта. Но Сэнди начинала думать и о сольной карьере. В сотрудничестве с композитор Марком Пэлинком и поэтом Дирком Пэлинком (автором большинства хитов дуэта Тач оф Джой) она начала работу над сольным альбомом. Для того, чтобы подчеркнуть новое направление она изменила имя на Ксанди. Xandee is
25-year-old singer Sandy Boets’ alter ego. Music has always played a central role in this dynamic young lady’s life. At the age of 16 and bubbling over with enthusiasm she founded pop duo, “Touch of Joy” with Serge (Sergio) Quisquater. Touch of Joy has had a long and successful career with hit after hit with numbers such as “Don’t Give it up,” “Please Don’t Go” and “Enjoy.” And Touch of Joy still exists: in 2005 they will celebrate their 10th anniversary. But there was also life beyond and besides Touch of Joy, thought Sandy. In collaboration with composer Marc Paelinck and lyricist Dirk Paelinck (the team who wrote the biggest Touch of Joy hits) she began working on a solo project. To emphasise the new direction she changed her name to Xandee. In October 2003 the Paelinck brothers wrote the catchy up-tempo song, “1 life” for her. Sergio, her musical partner in crime, was the obvious choice as manager. |
